A tea pitcher is also known as cha hai or a ‘fair cup’. It is used to hold tea liquid so it can be distributed equally among sitters or to deposit broken tea leaves. This series is inspired by the unique tropical pitcher plant – Nepenthes – for its tall, rounded body and small foot. The artist used white glaze and let it flow naturally as it melts in the kiln, making every pieces unique with its own style.
